The
Krewe of Little Rascals founded in 1983
is America's longest running, most flamboyant
children's Mardi Gras Krewe in Carnival
history. Specifically formed for the
youth's thrill and excitement in the
greater New Orleans area, the krewe
gained the national spotlight briefly
during some of the early tourists TV
shows and finally international exposure
through a widely seen segment on Japanese
TV in 1997. Another article in the March
1998 issue of National geographic world
magazine, which reaches more than two
million subscribers in 183 countries,
further enhanced the krewe's prestige.
